Set it Up
Set Menu
In the Set Menu, all machine settings are displayed
and set. You can override automatic settings and
make manual adjustments. Simply check the boxes
to activate a function, or touch the corresponding
buttons to open settings.
Sensor Foot Auto
The default setting is “auto”. Stopping with the needle
down the presser foot raises to pivot position. On
“manual” (box is not checked), the foot stays on the
fabric when stopping with needle down. Touch
to raise foot to pivot position.
Sensor Foot defaults to active when Designer SE
Limited Edition is turned on.
FIX Auto
On auto (default) setting, each stitch begins with À x
tie-off stitches. On manual, touch
to tie off.
FIX Auto is always active when Designer SE Limited
Edition is turned on.
Cut jump stitches
The Designer SE Limited Edition features the
automatic function Cut jump stitches. This function
saves you time trimming after the embroidery
is completed. The default setting is on. As you
embroider, the Designer SE Limited Edition will trim
the top jump stitch thread and pull the thread end to
the underside of the fabric.
NOTE: The Designer SE Limited Edition will also cut the
thread after you have changed to a new color. Hold the
thread end when you start embroidering again, so that you
can easily remove the thread end when cut.
Only designs marked “Cut jump stitch trim
command for Designer SE” are programmed for
Cut jump stitches. Jump stitch trim commands can
be added to any design using the Husqvarna Viking 4D
Software. Instructions can be found in the
4D Design Enhancer within the 4D Stitch Editor Module.
Some embroidery designs you purchase may have trim
commands in them. To check this, look at the design in
Stitch Editor to see the trim command symbol in the design
or you can stitch them out.
Selective Thread Cutter Auto
On auto (default) setting, the threads are cut
automatically and the presser foot raises after a Sensor
buttonhole or eyelet is sewn, at color changes or when
an embroidery is À nished. On manual, threads are not
cut after these stitches.
Twin Needle
Opens a list for twin needle width selection. When the
twin needle size is selected, the width of all stitches is
limited for the needle size to prevent needle breakage.
The adjustments are kept until you set the twin needle
selection to “off ”. When a twin needle size is set, a
pop-up is shown when turning on your Designer SE
Limited Edition, and another one when selecting a
stitch that is too wide for the set twin needle size. The
stitch width is automatically adjusted to À t the twin
needle setting. Close the pop-up by touching
