Smoke detector connection
Use the adhesive ring to glue the
microphonenext
tothesoundoutletof
your smoke detector (see illustration)
and plug the microphone cable into
the connection jack on the bottom of
the transmitter. To dothis,pulloff the
backing foil from theadhesive ring on
the microphone.
Installation example
For optimum function of the transmit-
ter, its sensitivity dial switch must be
set so the transmitter reliably
responds tothe smokedetector.
Setting the sensitivity
1. Set the sensitivity dial switch to its
lowest level (turn to the anticlock-
wise tostop).
2. Activate thetest alarmofthe
smoke detectorandgradually in-
crease the sensitivity of the
transmitter (by turning the dial
clockwise) until the transmitter
reacts tothe smokedetector.
Important note
All lisa devices connected to the
mains supply have a low power con-
sumption which may lead to the devi-
ce feeling warm. This is normal and
does not interfere with the normal
function ofthedevices.
These signalling systemshavea high
operational safety. Should any faults
occur in spite of proper installation
and use,please contactyourdealer.
High and low voltage spikes (e.g.
during a thunderstorm) can occur on
the mains supply. The lisa devices
have an integrated electronic control-
lerwhichmaystopworkingafterthese
conditions. If this happens simply
unplug each of the devices and plug
them inagain.
As a precaution remove all devices
from their sockets during a thun-
derstorm.
The use of halogen lamps or other
equipment (e.g. Microwave Ovens)
may, in rare cases, interfere with the
lisa signals. Inthesecases the use of
mainsfilters orsuppressors isadvisa-
ble. Pleaseaskyour dealer.
Maintenance and care
All lisa devices aremaintenance free.
Toclean,removefrom themains sok-
ket and wipe with a moistened cloth.
Never usecleaning agents.
lisa devicesshould notbeexposed to
excessive heat, dust, humidity or
mechanical shock.
