Getting Started

Setup wizard

Read the Quick Start Guide carefully before using your phone for the first time and ensure that

the Nano SIM card is inserted correctly

Press and hold the power button to turn on your phone. Follow the onscreen instructions to

complete initial setup.

1 Select your language and region, and then touch NEXT.

2 Read the user terms and Huawei Privacy Policy carefully and then touch AGREE > AGREE

to accept.

3 Follow the onscreen instructions to enable Wi-Fi+.

4 Your phone will automatically list nearby Wi-Fi networks. Select a network and enter the

password to connect.

5 Read the Google services carefully and then touch NEXT.

6 On Set up your phone screen, you can:

l Select Keep your apps & data, follow the onscreen instructions to restore a backup or

copy from a device.

l Select Set up as new, follow the onscreen instructions to migrate data, or touch SET AS

NEW PHONE > OK to skip this step.

You can always migrate data later by going to Settings > Advanced settings

> Data

transmission.

7 Follow the onscreen instructions to add your fingerprint. Y

ou must also set a PIN or Password

to unlock the screen in case fingerprint recognition fails.

It is important to remember this password so that you are always able to unlock your

phone.

ouch GET STARTED to complete setup. Once EMUI launches, your phone is ready for use.

Enabling or disabling a SIM card

Disable or enable a SIM card to keep your work and private life separate.

3 Toggle the switch next to SIM 1 or SIM 2.

Question a) Text messages will not transmit when a photo is attached. Why? I cannot find a setting in any sub menu which is necessay. What is the problem solution please.

Question b) When using HiSuite 5.0.2.301_OVE software on my laptop I cannot select individual photos or files to up load into my laptop. I can only up load ALL photos on my 'phone!!! This is hundreds of photos which I don't want and it does it everytime so I end up with multiple copies!!! What is the solution please? When I use the IMPORT function I should be able to select only those photos that I wish to import. NOT all of them.
