De instelling Fotokwaliteit heeft niet alleen invloed op de kwaliteit
van de opnamen, maar als gevolg hiervan ook op het aantal
opnamen dat in het interne geheugen van de camera of op
een optionele geheugenkaart kan worden opgeslagen.
Opnamen met hogere resolutie en lagere compressie nemen
meer ruimte in beslag dan opnamen met lagere resolutie en/of
hogere compressie. Zo zorgt de hoogste vooraf gedefinieerde
instelling (3 MP
Beste) voor foto's van hoge kwaliteit, maar
wordt er meer opslagruimte in het geheugen in beslag genomen
dan met de volgende lagere instelling (3 MP). Daarnaast
kunnen veel meer foto's in het geheugen worden opgeslagen
als u de instelling 1 MP of VGA selecteert in plaats van de
instelling 3 MP. Het nadeel is echter dat deze instellingen voor
foto's van lagere kwaliteit zorgen.
Het getal achter Resterende foto's onder in het submenu
Fotokwaliteit wordt telkens bijgewerkt wanneer u een vooraf
gedefinieerde instelling markeert. Zie Geheugencapaciteit
op pagina 167 voor meer informatie de manier waarop de
instelling Fotokwaliteit van invloed is op het aantal foto's dat
in het camerageheugen kan worden opgeslagen.
De instelling van Fotokwaliteit (in de tabel hierboven) wordt in
de modus Liveweergave weergegeven. De nieuwe instelling
blijft actief (ook als u de camera uitschakelt) totdat u de
instelling wijzigt.
OPMERKING Bij het gebruik van de digitale zoomfunctie
verandert de resolutie terwijl u inzoomt. Zie Digitaal
zoomen op pagina 38.
