Systeemherstelpunten maken
Een systeemherstelpunt is een 'momentopname' van de vaste schijf dat op een bepaald tijdstip door
Windows Systeemherstel wordt opgeslagen. Een herstelpunt bevat gegevens, zoals
registerinstellingen, die Windows gebruikt. Door een eerdere staat van het systeem te herstellen kunt
u wijzigingen die zijn aangebracht vanaf het moment dat het herstelpunt werd gemaakt, terugdraaien.
Als u een eerdere staat van het systeem herstelt, heeft dat geen invloed op gegevensbestanden die
zijn opgeslagen of e-mailberichten die zijn gemaakt sinds het laatste herstelpunt. Het heeft wel
invloed op door u geïnstalleerde software.
Als u bijvoorbeeld een foto van een digitale camera downloadt en vervolgens de computer in de staat
van de vorige dag herstelt, blijft de foto op de computer staan.
Als u echter fotobeheersoftware installeert en vervolgens uw computer herstelt in de staat waarin het
de vorige dag verkeerde, dan wordt de software verwijderd en kunt u de software niet gebruiken.
