Very low on ink
The cartridge identied in the message is very low on ink.
Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When you receive a very low
ink warning message, HP recommends having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printing
delays. You do not need to replace cartridges until the print quality is unacceptable.
For information about replacing cartridges, see Replace the cartridges on page 38. For information about
ordering cartridges, see Order cartridges on page 40. For information about recycling used ink supplies, see
HP inkjet supplies recycling program on page 89.

Cartridge problem
The cartridge identied in the message is missing, damaged, incompatible, or inserted into the wrong slot in
the printer.
NOTE: If the cartridge is identied in the message as incompatible, see Order cartridges on page 40 for
information about obtaining cartridges for the printer.
To solve this problem, try the following solutions. Solutions are listed in order, with the most likely solution
rst. If the rst solution does not solve the problem, continue trying the remaining solutions until the issue is
resolved.
● Solution 1: Turn the printer o and on
Turn o the printer, and then turn it on again.
If the problem persists, try the next solution.
● Solution 2: Install the cartridges correctly
Make sure all of the cartridges are properly installed.

Single cartridge mode
Single cartridge mode is for printing with only one cartridge installed or with a cartridge missing.
For more information, see Use single-cartridge mode on page 40.
Unable to communicate with printer
The computer cannot communicate with the printer because one of the following events has occurred:
● The printer has been turned o.
● The cable connecting the printer, such as a USB cable, has been disconnected.

  • HP EMVY 5052 all connected but cannot print. Has 14items backed to print but does nothing. How do I clean this up so I can print. I set it up without no wire connection but worked great a long time. how do I get to the HP Laptop and printer to work it. I am too old to understand all this computer stuff.
