DDR-SDRAM DIMM’s
Indien de computer DDR-SDRAM DIMM’s ondersteunt, moeten
de DIMM’s aan de onderstaande eisen voldoen:
■ industriestandaard 184-pins modules
■ ongebufferd PC2700 333 MHz-compatibel of PC3200
400 MHz-compatibel
■ 2,5 Volt DDR-SDRAM DIMM’s.
De DDR-SDRAM DIMM’s moeten bovendien:
■ CAS-wachttijd 2,5 of 3 (CL = 2,5 of CL = 3) ondersteunen
■ voorzien zijn van de voorgeschreven JEDEC SPD-informatie.
Daarnaast ondersteunt de computer:
■ 256 Mbit, 512 Mbit en 1 Gbit niet-ECC geheugen
■ enkelzijdige en dubbelzijdige DIMM’s
■ DIMM’s met x8 en x16 DDR-elementen. DIMM’s met
x4 SDRAM worden daarentegen niet ondersteund.
De volgende processorbusfrequenties zijn vereist om de computer
te laten werken op de ondersteunde geheugenfrequenties.
Wanneer een geheugenfrequentie wordt gekoppeld aan een
niet-ondersteunde processorbusfrequentie, zal het systeem werken
op de hoogste geheugenfrequentie die wel wordt ondersteund.
Wanneer bijvoorbeeld een 400 MHz DIMM wordt gekoppeld
aan een 533 MHz processorbus, zal het systeem werken op de
hoogste ondersteunde geheugenfrequentie, te weten 400 MHz.

Het systeem kan niet worden opgestart wanneer er niet-ondersteunde
DIMM’s geïnstalleerd zijn.
Raadpleeg de Handleiding Computerinstellingen op de documentatie-cd
voor informatie over het bepalen van de processorbusfrequentie van
een specifieke computer.
