1. Turn the computer upside down on a at surface with the battery facing toward you.
2. Slide the battery lock latch (1) to unlock the battery, and then slide the battery release latch (2) to
release the battery.
NOTE: The battery release latch automatically returns to its original position.
3. Pivot the battery (3) upward, and then remove the battery (4) from the computer.
Conserving battery power
Select low power-use settings through Power Options in Windows Control Panel.
Turn o wireless and LAN connections and exit modem applications when you are not using them.
Disconnect unused external devices that are not plugged into an external power source.
Stop, disable, or remove any external memory cards that you are not using.
Decrease screen brightness.
Before you leave your work, initiate Sleep, or shut down the computer.
