IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions before using heater.
1. Connect the appliance only to single
phase AC of the voltage specified on the
rating plate.
2. This appliance complies with EMC direc-
tive 89/336/EEC regarding radio and
television interference.
3. Keep combustible materials such as furni-
ture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes
and curtains at least 90 cm from the
heater.
4. Extreme caution is necessary when any
heater is used by or near children.
5. Always unplug the heater when not in
use. Do not pull on the cord when discon-
necting it.
6. Do not cover. If covered, there is a fire risk.
7. DO NOT use this heater in the immediate
surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.
8. This heater must not be located immedi-
ately below an electrical socket-outlet.
9. If the supply cord of this appliance is
damaged it must be replaced by a repair
shop appointed by the manufacturer, be-
cause special purpose tools are required.
10. Keep this heater clean. DO NOT allow
objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust
opening as this may cause electric shock,
or fire, or damage the heater.
11. Do not operate the unit before it is com-
pletely assembled according to the assem-
bly instructions.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
• This heater may be used with feet on the
floor or attached directly to the wall.
• For floor use, attach the feet to the lower
part of the heater by snapping each foot in-
to the matching holes (fig. 1).
• Firmly press each foot until a “click” is
heard. Place the heater on a firm, level,
open surface at least 90 cm away from any
other object. DO NOT use on an unstable
surface such as bedding or deep carpeting.
• For wall mounting, secure the wall attach-
ment clips into the wall with the screws pro-
vided. DO NOT install this heater in the im-
mediate surroundings of a bath, a shower
or swimming pool.
• Attach the wall spacers on the back of the
heater to keep the minimum distance to the
wall. Attach the heater to the mounting
clips, using the mounting holes on the back
of the heater (fig.2).
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
A) MODEL HZ-820E
• Turn the thermostat anticlockwise to its low-
est setting (d).
• Plug in the heater.
• Turn the thermostat clockwise to the highest
temperature setting, for a rapid warming
(fig.3).
• When the room reaches a comfortable tem-
perature, turn the thermostat anti clockwise
until the heater switches off. At this setting,
the thermostat will automatically turn the
heater on (the pilot light illuminates) and off
(the pilot light goes out) to maintain the se-
lected temperature.
• To turn the heater off, turn the thermostat an-
ti clockwise to the lowest setting (d) and un-
plug the heater.
B) MODELS HZ-821E, HZ-822E,
HZ-825TE
• Turn the switch to (0).
• Plug the heater into an outlet.
• Turn the switch to the desired power, (I-Low,
II-Medium, III-High) (fig. 4).
• Turn the thermostat clockwise to its highest
setting for a rapid warming.
• When the room reaches a comfortable tem-
perature, turn the thermostat anticlockwise
until the heater switches off. At this setting,
the thermostat will automatically turn the
heater on (the pilot light illuminates) and off
(the pilot light goes out) to maintain the se-
lected temperature.
• To turn the heater off, turn the switch to the
(0) position and unplug it.
C) TURBO
MODELS HZ-823FE, HZ-824FE
AND HZ-826FTE ONLY.
• Turn the switch to (0).
• Plug the heater into an outlet.
