How do I know when the batteries need c hang ed
and how do I change them?
Y our RF Chronother m has built-in electronics that constantly monitor
the battery power lev el. With no other accessories f itted the batteries
should last about 3 years. When the batteries need replaced, a
flashing symbol will be display ed.
T o change the batteries:
1. Lift up the front flap to rev eal the batter y compar tment. Open the
batter y compar tment by inserting a coin under neath the bottom
right edge of the flap and lift it out.
2. Replace the used batteries with 2 new AA LR6 Alkaline Batteries
(Duracell are recommended) and push the battery compar tment
firmly back into the front of the unit.

The RF Chronotherm has a per manent memor y to keep your prog ram
settings while you change the batteries, you should ne ver need to
reprogram. Howe ver , if you tak e more than one minute to change
them, you ma y need to correct the time by moving the slider to the
DA Y / position and pressing the + button.
I want to use the table stand instead of wall mounted
brac ket. Where can I position the room unit?
It is important to keep the room unit in a location where reliable RF
communication was prov en. Advise your installer where would y ou like
to position the room unit and he will check if the RF communication is
reliable in the selected location(s).
How do I remove the RF Chr onotherm from the
table stand or wall bracket?
After progr amming is finished alwa ys replace the RF Chronother m
back on the wall holder or tab le stand.

What does it mean when the HC60NG relay bo x
green LED is ON?
Green LED indicates normal operation of the radio frequency system.
When the green LED is ON the boiler is also ON. When the LED is
OFF the boiler is OFF .
How do I set the time and da y?
1. Move the slider to the DA Y / position. The time and day marker
will now be flashing on the displa y indicating they can be changed.
2. Press the + or - b utton until the correct time is display ed. Each
button press will change the time by one minute and stop the
display from flashing. Holding the b utton down for a f ew seconds
will change the time slowly at first, then quic kly .
3. Press the DA Y 1..7 button until the day mark er is positioned under
the correct day (DA Y 1 is Monday). Each b utton press moves the
day marker b y one day .
How do I get star ted with the built-in tempera-
ture program?
Move the slider to the A UT Omatic position.
The Chronotherm will now control your heating using the built-in
temperature program:-

How do I set m y own temperature program f or
each day of the week?
1. Move the slider to the P ROGram position. Y ou will see the first
temperature change time and temperature le vel f or Monday’s
program (the tw o small arrows are displa yed only when the
programmed temper ature lev el is shown). The flashing display
indicates that you can make changes.

2. Press the + or - b utton to adjust the first temper ature change
time. Holding the button do wn will change the time quickly . The
change time can be set in 10 minute steps from 03:00 in the
morning. The change time can be adjusted to an y time up to 02:50
on the next morning, so you can maintain the e vening temperature
after midnight.
(Note: If you are pressing the + b utton and the display flashes
the next change time number 2 , it means the ne xt change time 2
will be pushed forw ard if you continue to press the + b utton).
3. Press the TEMPerature or b utton to adjust the first
temperature le vel. Holding the button do wn will change the
temperature quic kly . The temper ature can be set in 0.5° C steps
from 5° C to 30°C.
4. Press the PROGram 2 button to displa y the second temperature
change time and temperature le vel for Monda y . Set these by
pressing the + or - button and TEMPerature or button.
5. The remaining temperature changes f or Monday can be display ed
by pressing PR OGram buttons 3, 4 , 5 and 6 and adjusted by
using the + or - button and TEMP erature or button.
(If you don’ t w ant to use all the temperature change times 2, 3, 4,
5 or 6 ref er to the next question “What if I don ’t want to use all 6
temperature change times?”).
Y ou now have a choice to set the pr ogram for the next day:-
6a. Press the COPY D A Y button to copy Monda y’ s prog ram into
T uesda y . T o set sev eral days of the week to the same prog ram,
press the COPY D A Y button repeatedly .
6b. Press the DA Y 1..7 button to step the da y marker to T uesday (Da y
2). The program f or T uesda y can then be set as described in steps
2 to 5. Programs f or W ednesday (Da y 3) to Sunday (Da y 7) can be
set in the same wa y , using the D A Y 1..7 button.
7. Mov e the slider to the AUT Omatic position when you hav e
completed steps 6a or 6b , The Chronother m will now control the
room temperature to match your prog ram.
What if I don’ t want to use all 6 temperature
change times?
The built-in prog ram uses 6 temperature change times as indicated by
the numbers 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5 and 6 on the display . With the slider in the
PROGram position, unwanted change times can be deleted by holding
the appropriate PROGram buttons (2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 ) down f or a fe w
seconds. The change time will be remov ed and the display will show
dashes instead of a time / temperature display .
Deleted temperature change times can be brought bac k again by
pressing the appropriate program button (2, 3, 4, 5 or 6) for a f ew
seconds, with the slider in the PROGram position.
Can I change the programmed temperature f or a
shor t time?
When the slider is in the A UTOmatic position the temperature can be
adjusted temporarily by pressing the TEMP erature or button.
This temperature will return to the programmed v alue at the next
temperature change time.
How do I chec k the programmed temperature?
In normal operation the temperature displa yed is the actual room
temperature. T o check the programmed temper ature press the
INFOrmation button and the displa y will show the programmed
temperature with the two small arrows .
How do I set one temperature f or the whole day?
T o operate as a simple ther mostat with one temperature throughout the
day , mov e the slider to the MANual position. Adjust the manual
temperature by pressing the TEMP erature
or
button. The
manual temperature can be set an ywhere from 5° C to 30° C in 0.5°C
steps.
I am having some friends r ound for coffee. How
can I extend m y heating program for a f e w hours?
When the slider is in the A UTOmatic position the temperature can be
adjusted temporarily by pressing the (P A RTY) button. Set the party
time (1 - 23 hours) by pressing the + or - button. Set the
par ty
temperature (5° C - 30° C) by pressing the TEMP erature

number of hours and then go bac k to the nor mal temperature progr am.

The button can also be used when you go out (shopping, out with
friends for coff ee or to another par ty!) and want to reduce the tempera-
ture for a f ew hours to sav e energy .
I have a da y off work tomorr ow and I am sta ying
at home, do I have to re-program the
CM67NG
?
No, with one b utton press, the
CM67NG will remember that tomor-
row is a da y off. T omorrow , the
CM67NG will control the temperature
using Sunday’s program.
When the slider is in the AU TO matic position, press the (D A Y
OFF) button. A symbol will appear and the da y mar ker f or
tomorrow will flash. This indicates that the Sunday temper ature
progr am will be follo wed tomorrow . T omorrow the symbol will still
appear but without the flashing da y mar ker , the
CM67NG will control
tomorrow’s temperatures using Sunda y’s program.
T o cancel tomorrow’s D A Y OFF, press the
button twice or mov e
the slider .
If you ha ve 2 or more da ys off press the button each night bef ore
going to bed.
If you ha ve a D A Y OFF today and w ant to control the temperature
using Sunda y’ s prog ram press the button twice.
T o cancel any DA Y OFF setting, either press the button repeatedly
until the symbol disappears or move the slider .
I am going on holiday f or a few days. Ho w do I
save ener gy but ensure that the house is warm
when I return?
1. Mov e the slider to the operating position you require on returning
from holida y (AUT Omatic or MANual position)
2. Press the (HOLID A Y) button to displa y the holiday da ys counter
and temperature.
3. Press the + or - button to set the holida y time (1 - 99 days). An
extr a flashing day marker sho ws you the holiday return day .
4. Press the TEMPerature or button to set the holida y
temperature (5° C - 30° C).
The unit will control to the new temperature f or the set number of da ys
holiday . At midnight the holiday da ys counter will be reduced by one
until the selected number of da ys have passed. The unit will then
return to nor mal control as set by the MANual or AUT Omatic slider
position.
T o cancel the HOLID A Y setting, press the button a second time or
mov e the slider .
How can I s witch the RF Chronotherm off?
Mov e the slider to the OFF position. The unit has an intelligent built-in
frost protection feature , so that if the temperature falls belo w 5°C , it will
automatically switch bac k on to prevent y our pipes from freezing.
