TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
TRANSPORT
When transporting or carrying your brush cutter, the engine must always
be stopped and the transport guard must be installed on the cutting attachment (types L3E,
U3E).
When carrying your brush cutter, hold it by the transmission tube in a balanced position.
If it is to be transported in a vehicle, make sure that it is properly secured so it cannot move. It must be
positioned so that there is no risk of fuel leakage.
STORAGE
If the machine is not to be used for more than two months, the
following storage precautions should be taken:
- Drain the fuel tank and run the engine to empty the carburettor.
- Remove the spark plug and pour a few drops of oil (same quality as that used in the engine) into the
cylinder.
- Gently pull the recoil starter to distribute the oil in the cylinder and on the piston. Then reinstall the
spark plug.
- Clean thewhole machine,paying specialattention to plant residues accumulated around the cutting
attachment, in the engine cooling fins and under the cowlings.
- Using a paint brush, apply a thin film of standard oil over the metal cutting attachments to prevent
corrosion.
- Store the machine in its packaging, in a cool dry place.
- If the machine is to be stored in a vertical position, place it with the engine at the bottom so that it will
not topple over.
TRANSPORT ET REMISAGE
TRANSPORT
Pour transporter la débroussailleuse, il faut systématiquement arrêter le
moteur et placer le protecteur de transport sur l’outil (types L3E, U3E).
Pour transporter l’outil, le tenir par le tube de transmission de façon à ce qu’il soit équilibré.
Si la machine doit être transportée à bord d’un véhicule, il faut s’assurer qu’elle est correctement
maintenue, afin d’empêcher tout mouvement. Elle doit être posée de manière à ne pas provoquer de
fuite de carburant.
REMISAGE
Lorsque la machine doit rester inutilisée pour une période
supérieure à deux mois, il convient de prendre les précautions
suivantes pour le stockage :
- Vidanger le réservoir de carburant et faire tourner le moteur pour
vider le carburateur.
- Démonter la bougie et verser quelques gouttes d’huile (même qualité que celle utilisée dans le
moteur).
- Tirer doucement sur le lanceur pour répartir l’huile sur les parois du cylindre et du piston, puis
replacer la bougie.
- Nettoyer l’ensemble de la machine, particulièrement les accumulations de débris végétaux autour
de l’outil, dans les ailettes de refroidissement du moteur et sous les capotages.
- Déposer une fine pellicule d’huile standard, à l’aide d’un pinceau, sur les outils métalliques pour
prévenir la corrosion.
- Ranger la machine dans son emballage, dans un endroit sec et frais.
- Si la machinedoit être rangéedebout, la placeravec le moteuren bas etveillerà ce qu’ellene puisse
pas basculer.
