Misurare la distanza tra gli elettrodi della candela con uno spessimetro.
Correggere secondo necessità, piegando con attenzione l’elettrodo laterale.
La distanza dovrebbe essere di:
Installata la candela, stringerla con la chiave apposita per comprimere la rondella.
Verificare che la rondella di tenuta sia in buone condizioni ed avvitare la candela a
mano per evitare errori di avvitamento della filettatura.
Candela consigliata:
Se si installa una candela nuova, stringerla di circa 1/2 giro per comprimere la rondella,
dopo che la chadela si è assestata. Se si rimette invece una candela già usata, stringerla di
circa da 1/8 ad 1/4 di giro, dopo l’assestamento.
Installare saldamente il cappuccio della candela.

Usare solamente candele del tipo raccomandato o equivalenti. Candele con una
gamma di calore non adeguata possono causare danni al motore.
La candela deve essere ben stretta. Una candela allentata si surriscalda e può
danneggiare il motore.
