Damaged or bent bladesmust alwaysbe re-
placed; never try to repair them! ALWAYS USE MANUFAC-
TURER'S GENUINE BLADES!
Onlythe followingpairsof bladescanbeusedonthismachine:
The blades (2) and fans (3) differ and are
contra-rotating.Wheninstallingthem,makesurethattheyare
correctly positioned.
Reassemble each blade (2a
2b)ontotherespectivefan(3a
–3b),followingthe “RH”(right)
and “LH” (left) indications
printed on the fan and inside
the cutting plate, then tighten
the four screws (5) with the
washersusingadynamometric
keywhichiscalibratedat9.5Nm.
The “right”and “left” indications refer to the driv-
ing position.
If one or both
shaft hubs (7) come off when
dismantling the blades, make
sure the keys (8) are securely
lodged in place. When re-fit-
ting the blades, always follow
the indicated sequence, mak-
ingsurethattheblades'wings
arefacingtowardsthe interior
of the cutting deck and that
the cupped side of the cup
washer(6) is pressingagainst
the blade. Tighten the fixing
screws (1a 1b) using a
torque wrench set to 45-50
Nm.

Removethetwonuts(6a)fromthetwofrontconnectingrodpins
(7), withoutloosening or changingtheposition of thenuts(8)
andlocknuts(9).
Remove the two cotter pins (10) of the
rear pins.
After checking that there are no obstruc-
tions,remove thedeck insuch awaythat
a
ll the pins come out of their housings.
When assembling, ensure that the two rear holes of the corner
joints are usedforfixing thepins (7).Performthe operations de-
scribedaboveinreversewhilemakingsurethatthefrontterminal
of the collector channel properly fits onto the exit of the cutting
deck.
b) Dismantling, sharpeningandbalancingblades
All operations on the blades (dismantling,
sharpening,balancing,remountingand/orreplacing)require
acertain familiarityandspecialtools.Forsafetyreasons,go
toaspecializedcentreifyoudonothavetherighttoolsorex-
perience.
Wear heavy gloves when handling the bla-
des.
To remove a blade, hold it firmly
andundothecentralbolt(1a -1b)
(use15mmwrench)inthedirec-
tion indicated by the arrow for
each blade, noting that one of
thefixingboltshasaright-hand
thread and the other one has a
left-handthread.
1a = screwwithrightthread(loosenanti-clockwise)
1b = screwwithleftthread(loosenclockwise)
The blade (2) is attached to the
fan (3) by a bracket (4) and four
screwswith washers(5).
Use a 10 mm key to loosen the
fourscrews(5)andfreetheblade
(2)fromitsbracket(4).
Sharpen the two cutting edges us-
ingamediumgradegrindingwheel
and check the balance by holding
theblade upwithascrewdriverin-
sertedinthecentralhole.
