BOUGIE D’ALLUMAGE
Bougies d’allumage recommandées : CR4HSB (NGK), U14FSR-UB (DENSO)
PRÉCAUTION :
N’utilisez que les bougies recommandées. L’emploi de bougies ayant un indice thermique
inapproprié peut causer des dommages au moteur.
Si le moteur vient de tourner, le silencieux est très chaud. Veiller à le laisser refroidir
avant d’intervenir dessus.
1. Déposer le capuchon de bougie d’allumage [1], et utiliser une clé à bougie [2] pour déposer
la bougie.
2. Contrôler la bougie d’allumage : la remplacer si l’isolant est fissuré ou ébréché. Nettoyer la
bougie d’allumage avec une brosse métallique.
3. Mesurer l’entrefer avec une jauge d’épaisseur. Le corriger si besoin en incurvant l’électrode
latérale [3]. L‘entrefer doit être égal à: 0,60 - 0,70 mm
4. Vérifier si la rondelle d’étanchéité est en bon état puis revisser la bougie à la main jusqu’à
l’assise sur son siège.
5. Serrer avec une clé à bougie pour comprimer la rondelle.
NOTE :
Après repose sur son siège, serrer une bougie d’allumage neuve de 1/2 tour à l’aide
d’une clé pour comprimer la rondelle. S’il s’agit de remonter une bougie usagée, 1/8 à 1/4 de
tour suffira.
PRÉCAUTION :
Une bougie doit être correctement serrée. Une bougie mal vissée peut devenir très chaude
et endommager le moteur.

Recommended spark plug: CR4HSB (NGK), U14FSR-UB (DENSO)
CAUTION:
Use recommended spark plugs only. Using spark plugs with an unsuitable thermal index can
damage the engine.
If the engine has just been running, the silencer will be very hot. You should leave
it to cool before performing any maintenance work.
1. Remove the spark plug cap [1] and use a spark plug wrench [2] to remove the spark plug.
2. Perform a visual check on the spark plug. Replace it if the ceramic insulator is cracked or
chipped. Clean the spark plug with a wire brush.
3. Measure the spark plug gap with a feeler gauge. Correct the gap if necessary by curving the
lateral electrode inwards [3]. The gap must be between 0.60 and 0.70 mm.
4. Check that the gasket is in good condition and then screw the spark plug finger-tight in place
on its seat.
5. Tighten with a spark plug wrench to compress the gasket.
NOTE:
In the case of a new spark plug, after fitting it finger-tight on its seat, tighten it by half a
turn with a wrench to compress the washer. When reinstalling a used spark plug, it is enough
to tighten it by 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn.
CAUTION:
A spark plug must be correctly tightened. An incorrectly fitted spark plug can become very
hot and damage the engine.
