Dash Sensor Removal

CAUTION:

• Do not damage the sensor wiring.

• Do not install used SRS parts from another car.

When repairing an SRS: use only new parts.

• Carefully inspect the dash sensors for signsof being

dropped or improperly handled, such as dents,

cracks or deformation.

4. Remove

the

mounting

bolts,

then

remove

the

dash sensor.

2. Install the

short

connector

(RED) on the airbag (see

page

23-274).

Disconnect

the

battery

negative cable,

then

the

positive cable.

3. Remove

the

footrest

and

left

door

sill molding,

then

pull

the

carpet

back, and remove

the

dash sensor

protector.
