IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
IMPORTANT
Before you start using the appliance please read this user manual. Keep the manual for future reference
and transfer together with the appliance.
1. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. The mains supply voltage shall match the rating of your appliance.
4. Do not operate by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
5. Place the appliance onto a flat, even and non-slippery surface so that the handle points in your direc-
tion.
6. CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! The hot plates and adjacent plastic parts are liable to get hot during
use. Use only the handle to open and close the hot plates. If necessary, use pot holders.
7. Certain diseases (i.e. diabetes) can cause reduced sensitivity of limbs to temperature. Therefore
disables persons shall use this appliance only under supervision.
8. Before changing the plates let the appliance cool down. Pull the plug.
9. Use only the provided plates.
10. Pull the plug if you don’t use the appliance, if there is a malfunction or if you leave the room. Also
pull the plug in the event of a power cut.
11. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas cooker or a heated oven. Keep the power cord away
from hot surfaces.
12. Do not immerse any part of this appliance in water or any other liquid.
13. The toaster shall not be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.
14. The plates and the appliance shall be cleaned after use to avoid cultures of fungi growing on it.
15. Pull the plug only by using the plug, not by pulling the cable.
16. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
17. Before storing the appliance let it cool down. Pull the plug.
18. When you don’t use the appliance according to these instructions we reject any liability.
