Das smartLAB
®
global W nG Blutzuckermesssystem verfügt über ei-
nen elektro-chemischen Biosensor zur schnellen Bestimmung des
Blutzuckerwerts. Dieses System verwendet eine Einmal-Streifen-
technologie, welche auf der FAD-bindenden Glucose-Dehydrogena-
se basiert.
Jeder Teststreifen besitzt eine Elektrode, welche die FAD-bindende
Glucose-Dehydrogenase enthält. Jeder Teststreifen kann nur einmal
benutzt werden. Die Applikations-/Einsaugzone des Teststreifens
zieht das kapillare oder venöse Vollblut automatisch ein. Im Re-
aktionsfeld bewirkt die FAD-bindende Glucose-Dehydrogenase eine
Dehydrierung des Blutzuckers. Es entsteht Gluconolactone.
Während dieser Reaktion überträgt ein Trägerstoff Elektronen an
die Elektrodenoberfläche und es kommt zu einem Stromfluss. Die
Strommenge ist proportional zur Glukosemenge, die in der Blutprobe
enthalten ist. Die Glukosekonzentration wird vom smartLAB
®
global
W nG gemessen und das Ergebnis nach 5 Sekunden im LCD-Display
dargestellt..
Verwendungszweck
Das smartLAB
®
global W nG Blutzuckermesssystem ist ein medizini-
sches In-vitro-Diagnosegerät (äußerliche Anwendung) zur Eigen-
bestimmung des Blutzuckerwertes. Es kann zu Hause oder von me-
dizinischem Fachpersonal zur Überwachung des Blutzuckerwertes
anhand von venösem Vollblut oder kapillarem Vollblut verwendet
werden. Das Blutzuckermesssystem sollte nur im Zusammenhang
mit den smartLAB
®
nG Blutzuckerteststreifen verwendet werden.
