INTERCONNECTION EXAMPLE
5-channel-mode: 2 x Stereo-System (Front & Rear) + 1 x Subwoofer
FUNCTIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
INTERCONNECTION
Connect the RCA lineouts of the head unit with the RCA jacks LINE IN of the amplier with appropriate high-value RCA cables.
If your head unit is equipped with a separate SUB OUT use this for the SUB IN inputs.
Connect the front speakers with SPEAKER OUTPUT + CH 1 - and + CH 2 -.
Ensure that the total impedance load of each speaker is not lower than 2 ohms.
Connect the subwoofer with + SUB OUTPUT -. Ensure that the total impedance load of the subwoofer is not lower than 1 ohm.
Too low impedance cause high temperature and will shut down the amplier operation.
INPUT MODE SWITCH
Select the 3CH position on the INPUT MODE switch. If there are only two RCA stereo audio cables from the head unit available,
connect the CH1/2 inputs and select the 2CH position.
CROSSOVER SETTINGS CH1/2
When using bigger speakers (more than 20cm) set the X-OVER switch to the FULL position (Full Range Signal).
When using smaller speakers (8.7cm - 16cm) set the X-OVER switch to the HP position (Highpass Mode) to avoid any
damage by lower frequencies on the speakers. The cut-off frequency is adjustable with the HP controller and should be set
between 60Hz to 150Hz, depending on the size of the speakers.
LEVEL CONTROLLER CH1/2 & SUB CHANNEL
Turn the LEVEL controller of the amplier to the MIN position.
Turn the volume controller of the head unit to 80 - 90% of its full setting.
Turn the LEVEL controller clockwise until you hear some distortion.
Then turn back the LEVEL controller slightly until you hear a cleaner sound.
BASS BOOST CONTROLLER SUB CHANNEL
The BASS BOOST controller is continuously adjustable from 0dB bis +18dB.
Use this controller carefully.
LOW PASS CONTROLLER SUB CHANNEL
The LOW PASS controller is for the adjustment of the Cut-Off-Frequency, which should be between 60Hz and 100Hz,
depending on the size of the subwoofer.
SUB SONIC CONTROLLER SUB CHANNEL
The SUB SONIC controller (Subsoniclter) limits the ultralow and not hearable frequencies of the audiosignal to below, to avoid a
mechanical and electrical overloading on the subwoofer. The cut-off frequency is adjustable from 15 to 55 Hz and depends
on the size of the subwoofer. If this controller is set higher than the LP controller no audio is hearable.
BASS REMOTE SUB CHANNEL
The enclosed BASS REMOTE CONTROLLER adjusts the bass-level on the subwoofer channel e.g. from the driver’s seat.
Please use only the enclosed bass remote controller and cable.
Connect the stereo RCA output (FL/FR and SUB OUT)
of the head unit with LINE IN CH1/2 and CH3 SUB IN
of the amplier.
