On your  baby carrier you will find numbers 1 to 4. These numbers correspond with
the easy instructions provided below.
Carrying your baby so it faces you:
Place your baby on a safe spot next to you.
• Place your carrier on a clean surface (e.g. table.) and open the large buckle on the
waistband (a). Fold the waistband open and lay it down flat.
• Position the waistband on your waist with tag [number 1] facing your belly. Close the
buckle by clicking and securing it on your back. The ends of the straps (b) might hang
down in front of you to the ground so we recommend putting both ends of the straps
in the foot pockets on the waistband in order to keep them dry and clean.
• The bigger your child, the broader the seating area needs to be (maximum is 36 cm /
size 80)
• Now adjust the waistband and secure the belt with the elastic safety band. Make sure
the buckle passes under the safety elastic and slide the elastic safety band over the
buckle.
• Now for the fun part: you can put your baby in! Gently take your little one and place
him/her against your chest. It is important that your baby’s buttocks are positioned
directly on the edge of the waistband. The edge functions as the seating area. The
ideal position for the waistband is so that you can easily kiss the top of your baby’s
head, when your baby “sits’’ on the edge of the waistband.
• While holding your baby with your right hand, carefully turn the strap (b) with [number
2] with your left hand over your left shoulder. Then place your left hand on your
baby’s back and put the strap (b) with [number 3] over your right shoulder with your
right hand. In one movement, put your right hand behind your back so that it you
can grab the two straps together and pull them together downwards. With your left
hand, attach strap [number 3] to strap [number 2] using the Velcro strip. Your right hand
should still be holding the two straps together on your back. After fastening with the
Velcro strip, also put your left hand also go behind your back in order to cross straps
number 2 and 3 and bring them under your arms with both hands to the front on the
waistband, under the cocoon and under your baby’s legs. You can now firmly pull
the straps together and tie them with a double knot, underneath your baby’s buttocks.
You might feel the straps are too tightly fastened for your baby, but this is necessary to
avoid too much weight being carried by your back. Take care that your baby’s nose
and mouth are free from any obstructions.
• If the free ends of the straps are too long, you can repeat the process and tie eve-
rything on your back (or place the ends of the straps in the (foot)pockets) on your
waistband. Make sure the straps are smoothly placed over each other.
• Make sure the straps are evenly distributed across your shoulders and the lower parts
of the straps are precisely situated in your baby’s knee cavities. That is when you know
you have the right size and your child is in the M-position: buttocks lower than the
knees. This will also create an ergonomic curve for your baby’s back (natural curve
position).
• All that is left now is to place the cocoon [number 4] over your baby’s back. Starting
from the bottom, pull the cocoon over your baby and adjust it to size by rolling it
down from the top down. Please note that, for newborn babies, you need to roll up
the top of the cocoon, so that your baby’s neck is fully supported by the neck roll. You
can use the folded hydrophilic cloth insert to provide the extra neck support*. The
bigger your baby gets, the less you need to roll the top up. In all cases, please ensure
that the nose and mouth of your baby are free from any obstructions.
• Finally, wrap the cords on each side of the cocoon around strap 2 and 3 and fasten
by clicking the press studs together. Check once again that your baby’s legs are in a
comfortable M-position with a naturally curved back. Also make sure that your baby’s
nose and mouth are free from any obstructions and your baby’s chin is up.
• Make sure your baby’s neck and head are always properly supported. This is particular-
ly important for young babies because they are not yet able to hold their head and
neck upright.
* In warmer weather or climates, you can use the hydrophilic cloth insert to provide
support for your baby’s head and neck. The ideal way to fold the 50 x 50 cm cloth is by
folding it in the middle first then folding it again into a square. Then roll the cloth from 1
point diagonally to the other (to create a shape like a croissant). Insert the folded cloth
when rolling down the top of the cocoon.
In colder weather and climates, use the fleece cloth instead. You can secure the fleece
cloth using the strap with press studs.
Now you can give your baby’s head a kiss before you head out the door. Off you go!!
