4. With the filter bank removed, inspect the UV-C lamp and ionizer unit for dirt and grime
(Fig. 5).
5. Remove all protective plastic film from the new filter bank before installing. Insert the
filter bank unit with the white part (the HEPA filter) forward. Note that the filter bank
tabs must protrude out of the filter bank to enable the next replacement.
6. Close the front panel by fixing it properly on the magnetic latches.
7. The air purifier will not start if the front panel is not properly fixed and closed.
USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place the air purifier on a dry, flat and solid surface. Make sure there is enough clearance
around the air purifier to allow free circulation. The air purifier may only be operated stand-
ing upright.
2. Plug the power cord to a power outlet.
3. Start the air purifier by pressing (4a). The air purifier will start processing air when the LED
(4f) is on.
4. Set the desired air filtering speed with (4c). Available speed modes: I: low speed, II: medium
speed, III: high speed. The selected air filtering speed is shown by its LED (4k).
5. (4d) turns on the UV-C lamp and ionizer unit. Press (4d) again to turn off the UV-C lamp and
ionizer unit. The LED (4i) is on when the UV-C lamp and ionizer unit is working.
6. The TIMER button (4e) sets the time to turn off the air purifier. Available time settings: 2, 4 and
8 h. The set time to off is indicated by its LED (4j). To disable the TIMER press and hold (4e)
until all LEDs (4j) are off.
7. If you want to turn off the air purifier, press (4a) and unplug the power cord.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE DEVICE
CAUTION! Unplug the power cord from the mains before cleaning or maintaining the air purifier.
1. Clean the air purifier housing (1) and the front panel (2) with a clean, soft and dry cloth. You
may use it with a little of water; if so, wipe the air purifier dry afterwards. Use neutral/gentle
domestic detergents to remove persistent grime.
CAUTION! Do not immerse the appliance housing (1) in water! Risk of damage and electrocution!
2. Clean the filter bank (3) at least once a month. Before clean-
ing the filter bank, detach the prefilter (3a) from the integrated
filter cartridge (3b). The prefilter is attached to the integrated
filter cartridge with Velcro straps on the activated carbon filter
side (black), see the figure.
Prefilter (3a): wipe both sides with a damp sponge and leave
until thoroughly dry. If the dust, dirt and grime persist, you
may gently clean the prefilter with a small brush. Do this
very carefully and do not apply too much force, otherwise
the prefilter will be damaged. You can also clean the prefilter
with a lint roller. Clean the prefilter at least once a month. If
the filter shows evidence of physical damage (e.g. holes, rips,
etc.), replace it with a new one.
