* Ondersteuning wordt gekapt als de eenheid die de ondersteuning geeft wordt

verdreven. Als een eenheid die een andere eenheid ondersteund wordt verdreven door een

aanval vanuit een provincie (inclusief de provincie waarheen de ondersteuning wordt

gegeven), dan wordt de ondersteuning “gekapt”. De eenheid die de ondersteuning zou

krijgen, ontvangt het niet.

In Figuur 16 wordt de Duitse ondersteuning niet gekapt door de aanval vanuit Warsaw,

omdat dat de provincie is waarheen de ondersteuning wordt gegeven. Om de ondersteuning

te kappen moet het Leger in Warsaw het Leger in Silesia verdrijven en niet alleen aanvallen.

In Figuur 17 verdrijft het Russische Leger vanuit Prussia het Duitse Leger in Silesia. De

ondersteuning van het Leger in Silesia wordt dus gekapt en het Duitse Leger in Berlin heeft

een patstelling met de Russische Vloot in de Baltic.
