Radio Station Options
To show options for a highlighted station while the HS 280/HS 210 displays the radio-
station list, press the right cursor button.
Highlight the option you want, then press the Enter button.
Search Up: Searches for the next receivable station above the highlighted station.
Search Down: Searches for the next receivable station below the highlighted
station.
Step Up: Changes the highlighted station frequency up by 0.1MHz each time you
press the Enter button.
Step Down: Changes the highlighted station frequency down by 0.1MHz each time
you press the Enter button.
Capture Name: Captures the highlighted station’s name and assigns it to the
stations listing (if the station is broadcasting the data).
New: Creates a copy of the current preset (with the name “New”).
Rename: Lets you use the remotes numeric buttons to assign your own name to the
highlighted station.
Delete: Deletes the highlighted station from the list.
NOTE: To delete all of the stations from the list:
Press the Activity button.1.
Highlight Radio and press the right cursor button.2.
Select Delete All and press the Enter button.3.
Add to Bookmark: Adds the highlighted station to your list of Bookmarks (see
Bookmarks, on page 21, for more information).
Listening to Audio Sources
If you used the Settings menu to assign input connections to the remote’s TV and
Video buttons, the HS 280/HS 210 will automatically switch to those connections
every time you press the remote’s TV or Video button. See Settings Menu: Audio
Settings: TV Audio Input and Video Audio Input, on page 19 and 20, for more
information.
You can also manually select an audio component that you connected to any of the
HS 280/HS 210’s line inputs or digital inputs:
Press the Activity button1.
Select Audio Inputs. The input-connection list will appear.2.
Highlight the input to which you connected the component and press the Enter 3.
button.
NOTE: If you connected your TV to the receiver using the SCART connection, the
HS 280/HS 210 will automatically switch to the SCART input when the TV is turned on.
See Audio Settings/TV Audio Input, on page 19.
If an audio input is selected when you put the receiver in the standby mode, it will
automatically be the selected input the next time you turn the receiver on.
To make it easier to identify which component is connected to which input, you can
rename any of the inputs. On the input connection list screen, (see above), highlight
the input you want to rename, and press the right cursor button (see Cursor Controls,
page 10). The options menu will appear.
Select Rename, and use the remotes numeric buttons to enter a different name for
any of the inputs.
Playing Files from USB Devices
The HS 280/HS 210 can display JPEG picture files, play MP3 (up to 320kbps bit rate)
audio files and show AVI, MP4 (up to 4Mbps bitrate) format video files stored on a
USB device. To access files on a device connected to one of the HS 280/HS 210’s USB
ports:
Press the USB button on the remote
– or –
Press the Activity button on the remote and select USB. If you have more than one
USB device connected, both device names will appear.
