Mogelijkheden, Inhoud van de set
Resume: de STOP-toets op de DVD werkt
anders dan u gewend bent bij CD’s of
CD-spelers. Wanneer u op een gewone CD-speler
op STOP drukt, dan stopt de speler. Drukt u bij
een CD-speler weer op START, dan begint de disc
opnieuw. Bij de DVD heeft u echter twee opties
bij het afspelen van DVD’s. Drukt u 1x op STOP
dan stopt het afspelen, maar de positie wordt
onthouden. U kunt de speler uitschakelen en
zodra u de volgende keer weer op PLAY drukt,
zal de speler verdergaan vanaf het punt waar de
vorige keer werd gestopt. Dit noemen we
‘resume’ (vervolgen) en is handig wanneer u een
film aan het kijken bent en om een of andere
reden moet stoppen, maar later weer wilt
verdergaan waar u gebleven was. Drukt u 2x op
STOP, dan wordt het apparaat op de gebruikelijke
wijze gestopt en zal de speler de volgende keer
weer bij het begin beginnen.
In de resume-functie zal de hoes van de DVD in
beeld komen. Is deze niet beschikbaar dan ver-
schijnt het Harman Kardon beeld.
DivX
DivX is de naam van een revolutionaire
video code, is gebaseerd op de MPEG-4
compressie standaard voor video. Deze
DVD-speler speelt discs af die gemaakt zijn met
DivX software. De weergavefuncties voor DivX
videodiscs van de DVD-speler wisselen
afhankelijk van de DivX software die voor
opname van de films werd gebruikt. Meer
