Prerequisites for installation

You have read chapter „For your safety“ on

page GB-4 and understand all the safety no-

tices.

Place the drill holes

WARNING

Risk of injury!

Improper installation of the appliance

can lead to injury.

■ Before drilling the holes, ensure that

no wires or cables (power, gas, water

etc.) will be damaged (check with a

line locator).

CAUTION

Fire hazard!

■ The distance between the cooking

surfaces and the lower edge of the

exhaust hood must be at least 65 cm

for gas cookers.

■ For gas stovetops, you must read the

user manual for the cooktop! If the

manual stipulates a larger distance,

this must be observed.

1. To position the appliance exactly over the

centre of the cooker, first draw a refer-

ence line on the wall (a vertical line drawn

using a level or plumb-bob from the cen-

tre of the cooker to the ceiling).

2. Hold the wall bracket against the wall so

that the distance between the exhaust

hood and cooker is at least 65 cm, and

use a pencil to mark the two drill holes

through the hangers.

NOTICE

The distance between the drill holes

and the lower edge of the exhaust hood

is 340 mm. You must therefore add 340

mm to the distance between the cook-

er and the lower edge of the exhaust

hood; in this case: 650mm + 340mm =

990mm (99.0cm).

3. Drill a hole with the same diameter as the

wall plug into the wall to a sufficient depth

at each of the marked points.
