connected from the power supply in

the event of breakdown.

■ Take care to prevent the risk of trip-

ping when laying the mains cord.

■ Keep the appliance, the mains plug

and the mains cord away from open

flames and hot surfaces.

■ Do not kink or pinch the mains cord

or lay it over sharp edges. This can re-

sult in a break in the cable.

■ If the mains cord of the appliance is

damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, the manufacturer’s

customer service or by a qualified

specialist.

■ Do not operate the appliance with an

external timer or a separate remote

control system.

■ Do not put any objects in or through

the housing openings and make sure

that children also cannot insert any

objects in them.

■ Never pull the mains plug out of the

socket by the mains cord, always hold

the mains plug itself.

■ Never touch the mains plug with wet

hands.

■ Never immerse the mains cord or mains

plug in water or any other liquids.

■ In the event of a fault, and before

cleaning and maintenance, pull the

mains plug out of the socket.

■ Investigations and repairs to the ap-

pliance may only be carried out by

authorised specialists, such as our ser-

vice department (see page GB-22).

Unauthorised repairs to the appli-

ance can cause property damage

and personal injury, and invalidate

liability and warranty claims. Never

attempt to repair the faulty – or sup-

posedly faulty – appliance yourself.

■ Only parts corresponding to the orig-

inal appliance specifications may be

used for repairs. This appliance con-

tains electrical and mechanical parts

which are essential for protection

against potential sources of danger.

Fire hazard!

The inappropriate use of the device can

cause a fire and damage to property.

■ Only connect the appliance to a

properly installed and earthed elec-

tric socket. Do not connect to a mul-

ti-socket extension cable or a mul-

ti-socket plug.

■ In order to guarantee sufficient air

circulation, do not close the ventila-

tion openings in the appliance hous-

ing.

■ Do not place the appliance directly

against the wall. Observe minimum

distances

and use the spacers pro-

vided

(see „Choosing a suitable loca-

tion“on page GB-16).

■ The appliance is heavy and bulky.

Seek the help of another person for

transport, setting up, positioning

while mounting or dismantling the

doors

■ Bases, drawers, doors etc. must not be

used as steps or for support purposes.
