The appliance may not operate proper-

ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-

tures for extended periods of time. This

can then lead to an increase in temper-

ature inside the appliance.

■ Always abide by the prescribed am-

bient temperature (see the ‘Climate

categories’ line on page GB-28).

Risk of injury from frozen goods!

Improper handling of the appliance

may result in injury. There is a risk of

burns caused by low temperatures.

■ The food and the inside walls of the

freezer compartment have a very low

temperature. Never touch them with

wet hands. This can cause injury to

the skin. Skin damage can occur even

with dry skin.

■ Let ice cubes or ice lollies thaw a lit-

tle before eating, do not put into your

mouth straight from the freezer area.

If the appliance has been transported

horizontally, lubricant from the com-

pressor may have gotten into the cool-

ing circuit.

■ Only transport the appliance in a ver-

tical position wherever possible.

■ Allow the cooling unit to stand for 2

hours before start-up. The lubricant

will ﬂ ow back into the compressor

during this time.

Improper handling of the appliance

■ Do not pull or lift the device by the

doors or door handles.

■ The appliance must only be placed

on a level and ﬁ rm surface. The sur-

face must be strong enough to sup-

port the appliance’s weight when ful-

ly laden.

■ Do not use sharp or pointed objects

to unpack it.

■ Do not use electrical appliances in-

side the appliance, unless they are of

the type recommended by the man-

ufacturer.

■ Do not use any electrical parts inside

the appliance’s cooling chamber that

do not conform to the manufactur-

er’s recommended design.

■ Do not use any mechanical devices or

means other than those recommend-

ed by the manufacturer.

■ Do not place any heat-emitting appli-

ances, such as microwaves or toast-

ers, on the freezer. Make sure that the

ventilation slots at the sides are not

can burst the container.

■ Defrost the appliance in a timely

manner, before ice and frost form a

layer of more than 5 mm. Excessive

ice formation increases power con-

ly.
