Has the cat player caught the mouse of the same colour as

the colour rolled?

This mouse player receives the wooden cup and the colour dice.

He is the new cat player.

Did the cat player catch other mice as well?

Nothing happens to them, they can stay in the middle for the next

round. Even if a player pulls his mouse away when it was not the

colour rolled, he is lucky this time: nothing happens to him.

Does the dice show the colour of a mouse which is not in the

middle?

All mice have to sit quietly.

If a player pulls out his mouse he becomes the new cat player

immediately. If several players have pulled their mice away,

then the cat player chooses one of them.

End of the game

The game ends when cat and mice are too tired to go on chasing

each other.

Variations for older children

Use the point dice. The signal number for each round is defined by

rolling the dice. Each mouse is given a number. If the dice shows the

signal number, the cat player turns the cup on the table, trying to

catch the corresponding mouse sitting there. The mouse player tries

to pull his mouse away by its tail as quickly as possible.
