Game idea Free Play
Free play fosters improved motor skills. Children reach out for the game material
especially designed for children‘s hands and then stack the pieces onto the two
sticks of the stacking base.
Play with your child! Talk about the colors and shapes of the stacking pieces
thus stimulating your child‘s language, auditory and creative skills as well as
enhancing the joy of playing.
Die game 1: “Block on block” (for 2 players)
Both players take a castle, each consisting of three pieces in red, yellow, and blue,
as well as a banner (see figure) and place them in front of them. Decide which
player will stack on which stick and get the color die ready.
How to Play
The player who has visited a castle most
recently starts the game. If you cannot
agree the youngest player starts by rolling
the die.
Both now try to be the first to finish their
castle. The illustration shows the order the
pieces have to be stacked in.
Does the die show the same color as the next piece to be stacked?
Yes?
Well done! Take the piece and stack it on the stick.
No?
Pity! You cannot stack a piece.
Then it‘s the turn of the other player to roll the die.
End of the game
The game ends as soon as a player has finished his castle thus winning the game.
