How to Play
The preparations are the same as for the first game idea,
“The Magic Elves”.
The magic elf turns over six cards from the pile and places
•
them in a row in front of him
The other players simultaneously shout the starting signal
•
“Fiddlesticks!” and the hourglass is turned. Now, try to
remember the order of the wooden figures, the magic elf
has until the last grain slips through the hourglass. As soon
as the hourglass is over the six cards are turned over again.
The magic elf takes the bag with the wooden figures and
•
tries to discover by touch the wooden figures of the cards
facing down, in the right shape and size. Once he finds a
figure he pulls it out of the bag and places it on the corres-
ponding card. Then he tries to find the wooden figure of
the next card facing down and so on.
As soon as he has put a figure on each card, the scoring is
•
done and the cards are turned over again. For each correct
matching figure the player receives a point and moves his
wooden counter the corresponding number of squares on
the game board.
Solitary variation
If there are no other players and you want to play “Fiddlesticks!
Big and Small!” you can play any of the three game ideas on your
own. How many points are you able to score being the magic elf
0 - 5 points = Surely you can do better!
6 - 8 points = Okay!
9 - 11 points = Well done!!
12 - 14 points = Great performance!
15 points or more = You are a true magic elf!
