Aim of the game
Who will be the quickest to discover the errors on the cards and have the
first two “Seven Dwarfs” in front of them?
Preparation of the game
Sort the cards according to the colored symbols on the back and make
ten piles with the cards face down. Get the seven dwarfs ready.
Put the fairytale book in the center.Together you choose any page.The
colored corner and the symbol tell you which pile of cards correspond to
which page.Take the pile with the corresponding color and put it next to
the book in the center.
Hint: If possible sit down with the book in front of you. During the
game, all the players should be able to see clearly both the book and the
cards. If playing in bigger groups, the younger players sit directly in front
of the book, the older ones to the side.
How to Play
The oldest player takes the pile of cards and puts it in front of them. Then
they rapidly uncover the top card putting it in the center of the table so
that everybody can see the picture at the same time.
Hint: If you are already accustomed and deft at uncovering the cards you
can place a card quickly in the frame on the right hand side of the book.
All players compare the card with the picture in the book and try to find
the error. Whoever thinks they have found it quickly covers the card with
their hand. Then this player describes the error without taking their hand
off the card.
Example:
“Snow White now wears yellow shoes.”
After describing the error the player takes their hand off the card and
together the players all check to see if the description of the error was
correct.
