Game idea
The players uncover an animal card and try to assign the
animal to the continent where it has its natural habitat.
The number of available continents, however, becomes
smaller with each right answer. Finally you are rewarded
gold coins for correctly assigned animals. The aim of the
game is to collect the most gold coins.
Preparation of the Game
Shuffle and put the animal cards in a pile face-down
in the center of the table. Arrange the seven continent
cards face-up in a circle around the pile of animal cards;
place the disk next to it. Get the gold coins ready.
How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction. Whoever has visited the
most continents, may start. If you cannot agree the
youngest player starts and uncovers an animal card.
Now you have to name a continent where the animal
shown lives in the wild. Choose one of the possibilities:
Pass card on
If you are not sure on which continent the animal lives
you can pass the animal card on to the next player,
whose turn it then becomes to name a continent or
likewise pass the card on.
Name a continent
Name one of the continents face-up in the center of
the table where you think the animal lives. Then check
your answer with the control disk.
Important:
The polar region is made up of two areas that are
very far apart: the Arctic near the North Pole and
the Antarctic near the South Pole. While the Antarctic
is a continent, the Arctic stretches over areas of Asia,
Europe and North America. When a player chooses
the polar region he has to state whether the animal
lives in the Arctic or the Antarctic.
