Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess living in a spell-
bound kingdom. On her fifteenth birthday she pricked her finger with
a spindle and, in that instant, fell into a deep sleep, as did the whole
kingdom. Big and thorny hedges grew all over the castle and held so
fast together no one could get through them. Since then the princess
was called “Sleeping Beauty”.
Now, 100 years later, four brave princes set out on the long and dan-
gerous path to wake up Sleeping Beauty!

Mutige Prinzen kamen von weit her, um die Prinzessin von dem Fluch
zu befreien. Doch keiner konnte die dichte Dornenhecke überwinden.
Und so vergingen die Jahre, und immer mehr Menschen vergaßen die
Prinzessin und das verwunschene Königreich.
100 Jahre später erzählte ein alter Landstreicher einem Prinzen von
Dornröschen. Als er von ihrer Schönheit hörte, verliebte er sich und
machte sich sofort auf den Weg die Prinzessin zu erlösen. Mutig, aber
ratlos stand er vor den großen Dornenhecken. Doch wie von
Zauberhand verwandelten sich alle Dornen in duftende Rosen. So
konnte er zu Dornröschen in den Turm hinaufklettern. Als er das schla-
fende Dornröschen sah, konnte er nicht anders und küsste sie. Kaum
hatten seine Lippen ihre berührt, öffnete sie die Augen und mit ihr
erwachte das ganze Königreich.
Dornröschen verliebte sich in den Prinzen und beide feierten eine
große Hochzeit. Und sie lebten glücklich und zufrieden bis ans Ende
ihrer Tage.
