What appears on the die?

• The bed:

Daddy Hippo is bringing Bertie to bed.

Announce: “It‘s bedtime, Bertie” and slip

rtie into his bed in the center of the game

board.

If Bertie is already there, he stays the-

• A red, yellow or blue dot:

Moving in a clockwise direction, place Bertie on the next

uare with a border of the same color as the dot on the

die. If Bertie is in his bed, take him off and place him on any

of the three squares with a border of that color.

Now you have to find the card showing the same illustration

depicted on the square Bertie is on. Uncover one of the

cards next to the game board.

If it is the matching card you can take it and place it face-up

in front of you. If not, you just turn it over again.

• Bertie:

Lucky you! You can place Bertie on any square.

Then it‘s the turn of the next player to roll the die.

End of the Game

The game ends as soon as no cards are left next to the game

board. All the players pile up their cards. Whoever has the tallest

pile, wins the game. In case of a draw, those players win together.
