Game Idea

Each player is secretly assigned a vampire. On the way to the castle the

vampires have to think carefully about how to move in order to avoid

receiving tomatoes (=minus points) rather than their beloved garlic

(=plus points). As the vampires don't know which color belongs to whom

things can get quite thrilling on the way.The aim of the game is to have

collected the most garlic thus having the most points.

Preparation of the Game

Place the game board in the center of the table. Note the path leading

from the village of the vampires (houses = starting squares) to Eeerie

Castle (= target square).

Shuffle both garlic and tomato

cards well and place them in

a pile face-down next to the

game board. Take three cards

from the pile and place

them face-up on the three

clouds shown at the left

of the castle.The four

vampires are then placed,

according to their colors,

on the four houses of the village.

Cover the four identification cards and deal one to every player.The

players secretly look at their ID card, then put it face-down; this card

shows the color of their assigned vampire.

Watch out: do not reveal the color of your vampire to anybody! During

the game you can, of course, take another look at your vampire ID card in

case you have forgotten which one you are.

If there are two or three players, ID cards will be left over. Do not look at

them! You have to place them back face-down into the game box.

Although the corresponding vampires have no assigned player, they par-

ticipate in the game.
