The author
Manfred Ludwig was born in 1936 in Munich. He studied French
and Sports to become a high school teacher. Since 1964 he has
been living in Regensburg. As soon as his children reached a certain
age he started playing and inventing games for them. His wife,
children and now five grand children are still “on play duty” when
the prototypes need to be tested. The game author has received
various awards, including “German Children‘s Game Prize 2002”,
“Children Game of the year 2003” and the “German educational
game award 2006”. HABA has published numerous games by
Manfred Ludwig, such as
Highly Suspect or The Code Crackers.
The illustrator
Peter Nishitani, was born in 1970 in Munich where he grew up
amidst the Green Dragons of the Isar river. He learned to handle
fire balls very early on, which aside from illustrating, is one of
his great passions. Today Peter Nishitani works together with his 8
dragon colleagues in the legendary dragon cave “Atelier Amaldi”
in Hamburg, always on the look out for new adventures.
Over the last few years he has already illustrated for HABA the
games
Full Steam Ahead! and What counts?.
I especially want to dedicate my work to Yuko, my most treasured
dragon with a golden heart.
