If in the rare instance that there are not sufficient pirate

tiles left or all the tiles have already been distributed, the

player or players were very lucky as they don’t have to

draw a pirate tile!

Then

all players

place the equipment cards they used for the

bid on the discard pile. The pirate ship is returned to the starting

square.

Example:

The pirate ship reaches the Viking village. All players simultaneously

choose equipment cards and place them face-down in front of them.

Then they turn over the cards.

• Sonja has two equipment cards with a total value of

“2” in front of her.

• Michael has played an equipment card with the value

of “3”.

• Sebastian has also played one equipment card,

but with a value of “2”.

• In front of Luisa there are three equipment cards with a

total value of “4”.

Both, Sonja and Sebastian have made the lowest bid, so they both have

to draw a pirate tile.

Then all players have to return the equipment cards they used for the

bid to the discard pile and the pirate ship is returned to the starting

square.
