Example:

The red ship returns back to the village. Sonja places two equip-

ment cards with a total value of “4” in front of her. Michael passes.

Sebastian ups the bid to “5” placing one red equipment card and

a joker equipment card in front of him. Luisa passes.

Sebastian has bet the highest value and gets the jewels from the

red ship. He now places the two equipment cards on the discard

pile. The red ship is returned to the starting square.

Sonja takes her equipment cards back into her hand.

The pirate ship reaches the Viking village?

If a player moves the pirate ship to the landing stage, Pirate Lars

attacks the Viking village. Now all the players play simultaneously:

Each one places at least one or any number of equipment cards

face-down in front of him. The color of the equipment card is

of no importance. As soon as equipment cards are face-down in

front of every player, the cards are turned over and each player

announces the total value:

The player with the lowest total value is held to

ransom by Lars. He has to draw the pirate tile

from the top of the pile and place it in front of

him. The pirate tiles show minus points from

“-2” to “-6”.

If various players have bet the same lowest value,

all of them have to draw a pirate tile.

•

If a player is left without equipment cards, he cannot

of course place any in front of him. In this case, this

player has the lowest total value.
