Game Idea

Each time a Viking ship returns to the village the treasure

load is auctioned off. But only the player who bids the most

matching equipment cards will get all the jewels from the

ship. Beware: don’t bid too many cards as you need some

left in your hand to bid in case the dangerous pirate Lars

comes to the village or to win the ‘Nessie’ loot at the end

of the game. The aim of the game is to collect the most

precious jewels.

Preparation of the Game

Place the game board in the center of the table and put the

four ships on the starting square. Put the 36 jewels into the

little bag. Then pull three jewels out of the bag and place

one on each yellow, blue and red ship shown on the game

board. Later on during the game the other jewels will also

be placed on the various ships.

Shuffle all the equipment cards and deal them face-down

until each player has six; players then pick the cards up. The

remaining equipment cards are put face-down in a provision

pile next to the game board. Mix the pirates’ tiles and then

stack them face-down next to the game board.

Get Nessie and both dice ready next to the game board.
