listening to music, doing nothing! The cat snoozes for a couple of minutes purring to the beat.

ater gun? Max however is just too busy with his water gun. Then Carla sees a lollipop lying on

he street. More children have been pla

the street, two children are standing at the crosswalk. Little Neil is looking out o

he window and beckons to her. So many children! Maybe the ball belongs to one of them,
Carla ponders. But the

to each other. Nobod

is lookin

for a ball.
Carla meets Hugo, the police dog. "Hugo, meow!" Carla shouts. "Do you know whose ball this
is?" Hu

o doesn't know but Mrs. Sweetwood points with her fi n

er in one direction. "Linus,
look!" she shouts.

up on his scooter. He is lookin
g
for his ball. "There it is!" he cheers and

hrows the ball up into the air. Carla has been a very good detective. Now she can look
f
or
a
nother shady spot and take another relaxing afternoon nap
.
