Before rolling the dice, each player can ask for a doubling

of the score. The player asking for a doubling takes the

shepherds’ die and puts it with the number 2 on the

game board area of the other player.

They can accept or decline the challenge.

• If the other player accepts, they take the shepherds’

die. Only they can then ask for a further doubling

(for example doubling from 2 to 4).

• If the other player declines the offer they lose, and

the current round is immediately over. The winner

gets the score set on the shepherds’ die before the

offer of the doubling was made.

Note the scores of each round on a piece of paper. The

player who first reaches the score determined at the

beginning, wins the game.
