Open the battery compartment cover
(batteries not included) on the back of the
unit (1) and insert three AAA batteries. To
remove the battery compartment cover,
insert the screwdriver into each screw
head and turn until the screw is released.
After inserting the batteries, replace the
cover and position the screws. Then re-
insert the screwdriver into the screw head
of each one and turn until it ts tightly.
Insert the three batteries in accordance
with the polarity marks. The polarity is
indicated on the battery compartment for
proper placement.
Putting on the Belt:
Attach the Gymform® TOTAL ABS (1) to
the front of the leg and arm belt (2) using
the two snap fasteners.
Ensure that they are both well fastened or
the belt will not work properly.
Attach the ve electrodes (8) to the inside
of the belt (2) as shown in Figure 2. Use
the snap fasteners so that the electrodes
are rmly attached.
Remove the protective plastic backing
from the belt electrodes. Do not throw the
protective plastic backing away, as you
will need it later.
Place the belt around your abdomen so
that one electrode is on your upper abs,
one is on your middle abs, one is on your
lower abs, and two are on your obliques.
Ensure that all the parts of the belt t
properly and the electrodes are in contact
with the skin. Keep the belt rmly in place
using the adjustable fastener.
When you have nished using the belt, to
ensure the electrodes do not stick to the
skin, remove them one at a time by pull-
ing them from the edge and then replace
the protective plastic backing on the elec-
trodes. This will help extend the useful life
of the electrodes (8).
Programme Selection
Press the + / l button (3) to turn on the
unit (1).
When Gymform® TOTAL ABS is rst
switched on, it starts at Programme 1
with the intensity at 0. Use the MODE but-
ton (5) to select other programmes. Press
the MODE button (5) once to change to
Programme 2, once again for Programme
3, and so on. After reaching Programme
6, it will return to Programme 1. The pro-
gramme selected is clearly shown by the
programme indicator lights (6) on the
Gymform® TOTAL ABS unit. See the
table on the second page to identify the
programmes.
Adjusting the Intensity Level
To reduce the intensity level, briey and
repeatedly press the - / o button (4). To
increase the intensity level, briey and re-
peatedly press the + / l button (3). There
are 10 intensity levels to choose from. If
this is your rst electro-stimulation ses-
sion, we recommend that you start at
Level 1 for the rst 10 minutes and then
gradually increase the intensity as you
become more familiar with the device.
If you press - / o (4) for two seconds, the
device will turn off.
Automatic Power Off
For your safety, the automatic period for
each programme is 10 minutes. Gym-
form® TOTAL ABS will automatically
switch itself off 10 minutes after being
switched on, regardless of the level or
programme selected.
If you wish to nish your session before
the end of the programme time, press the
- / o button (4) for one second until the
device switches off.
Automatic Reset
When you nish the programme, the de-
vice will switch itself off automatically.
When you switch it on again, you will have
to programme it again.
Using the Leg and Arm Belt
Attach the GYMFORM® TOTAL ABS unit
(1) to the front of the leg and arm belt (7)
using the two snap fasteners. Ensure that
they are rmly attached.
Attach one electrode (8) to the belt using
the snap.
Remove the protective plastic backing
from the electrode. (Make sure you re-
place it after use.)
Position the belt on the area you wish to
work on (see gure below) and ensure
that the belt is well secured with the quick
opening and closing system so that the
electrodes are in contact with the skin.
To choose the programme and intensity
level, see the section above.
AREAS WHERE THE LEG AND ARM BELT MAY BE
USED (Fig. 4)
Front
G) Lower front thigh
H) Upper front thigh
I) Outer upper thigh (front)
Rear
J) Outer upper thigh (back)
K) Arms: biceps and triceps
L) Forearms
M) Trapezius muscles
N) Calves
O) Inner thighs
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU RE-
PLACE THE ELECTRODES AFTER
EVERY 30 USES. IF YOU NOTICE THE
ELECTRODES HAVE PREMATURELY
LOST THEIR ADHESIVE POWER, WET
THEM WITH A DAMP SPONGE.
NOTE: If you feel heat in the areas where
you have attached the electrodes or if
the contractions become weak during
the session, it is likely that the batteries
need to be replaced. Remove them and
insert new ones. If this does not solve the
problem, the electrodes have probably
reached the end of their useful life. Switch
off the Gymform® TOTAL ABS, take it
off, t new electrodes to the belt and then
resume your session. For your conveni-
ence, Gymform® TOTAL ABS will auto-
matically set the intensity level to 0 if you
change the programme.
