General mode of operation
Planea EM 09 represents a further innovation in the long line of design and technol-
ogy ideas by Gutmann. This model is ideally suited for kitchens where the customer
wants to specifically adjust the height of the hood. This ensures that cooking vapours
are sucked in and filtered directly at source. After completing cooking, the hood can
be easily moved back to the ceiling. Planea can be used for ceiling heights of max.
2.7m The extractor hood has been especially developed for sucking cooking fumes
in private households. The rising cooking vapours are captured by the hood via edge
extraction and sucked via internal metal filters.
Through suction at the edge of the hood glass (edge extraction), fumes are effectively
removed and drawn into the hood through the use of innovative technology. Vapours
and fumes rise upwards due to their own updraft properties, are sucked in and extracted
by the hood.
The metal filters in the hood body are held in place by magnets. The resulting suction
is very effective edge extraction ensuring a laminar upstream flow of cooking vapours.
The air filtered via downstream activated carbon filters is then conveyed back into the
room via air outlets all round the hood body.
Accessing the metal and activated carbon filters of these hood models is easy from
below and occurs without tools by pulling out the glass panel.
The extraction capacity as well as other additional functions can be controlled from the
control panel. Lighting is also controlled via the control unit.
Sophisticated LED lighting technology allowing multiple light variations is incorporated
into the underside of the extractor hood. The lighting concept consists of several prop-
erly arranged LED lights providing adequate lighting.
