Place of work and machine installation
To install the circular saw, a level and solid surface with
sufficient space for movement around the machine is
necessary. The area of the place of work and the space
around the circular saw necessary for wood feed and
departure must be free of any obstacles with a risk of
tripping. Any slippery places must be treated with an
appropriate material, e.g. by sand. Any noticeable sawdust
and pieces of wood must be regularly cleaned. Other
persons must not stay in the dangerous area.
Preparation for work
Before you cut, make sure that the circular-saw blade is
fitted in the specified direction of rotation. The teeth
must point in the arrow direction and towards the operator.
Only properly sharpened circular-saw blades with a
sufficient wheelbase of teeth to be used for cutting. This
saves energy and the engine of your saw. Remove any
damaged and deformed circular-saw blades from the place
of your work to prevent any inappropriate use. The
circular saw halts the circular-saw blade after app. 10
seconds after being switched off (growling noise of
the engine after several seconds after switching-off is
normal).
Important instruction for the circular-saw blade brake:
If the circular-saw blade does not stop in 10 seconds
after switching the machine off, the saw must no longer be
used as the brake may be defective. The machine must
necessarily be unplugged. Please have the machine
checked by a qualified electrician whether the fuses in the
switch are not defective and whether they need to be
replaced.
CAUTION:
It is strictly prohibited to use the saw when the brake
mechanism of the circular-saw blade does not work!
Warning: Basic safety preventive instructions must
be followed when using electric tools to prevent any
risk of fire, electric shock and injury of persons.
Protect yourself against electric shock!
Prevent any body contact with grounded items.
Machines not being used must be kept in a dry and
locked place, inaccessible to children.
Check regularly the machine cable and have it
replaced by a qualified professional if damaged.
Do not use the cable to pull the plug out of socket.
Protect the cable against excess temperatures, oil
and sharp edges.
A cable drum to be used only when unreeled.
Approved extension cables with proper marking to be
used outdoors only.
Do not let other persons, especially children, touch
the machine or the feeder cable. Keep them out of
the place of your work.
Pay attention to what you are doing. Work reasonably.
Do not use the machine when you are tired.
Do not use machines where the switch cannot be
turned on/off.
Warning! Using any other extensions and accessory
equipment may represent a risk of injury for you.
Unplug the machine for any adjusting and
servicing.
Provide the safety regulations to all persons working
on the machine.
Caution! The rotating circular-saw blade represents a
risk of injury for your hands and fingers.
The machine has been fitted with a safety switch
against repeated switch-on after power failure.
Before putting the machine into operation, check
whether the voltage on the type label corresponds to
the voltage in the system.
Do not expose the saw to rain and do not use it in a
damp or wet environment.
Provide adequate lighting.
Do not cut near flammable liquids or gases.
Wear appropriate working clothing! Loose clothing or
jewels may get caught by the rotating circular-saw
blade.
Wearing shoes with a non-skid sole is recommended
for outdoor works.
Wear a hairnet if you have long hair!
Avoid any abnormal body posture.
Keep children ou
t of reach of the machine when
plugged.
Remove any wooden waste and items no longer
needed from the place of your work. Any mess in the
place of your work may result in injuries.
Persons working on the machine must not be
distracted.
Make sure the engine and circular-saw blade rotation
direction is appropriate.
Use only such circular-saw blades with a maximum
allowed speed of not less than the maximum speed of
the circular saw spindle and the cut material.
In any case, circular-saw blades must not be stopped
with side back pressure after switching the drive off.
A worn out table insert must be replaced.
Working position to be sideways from the circular-saw
blade at all times.
Do not overload the machine to such an extent it
stops.
Make sure the cut-off pieces of wood do not get
caught and are thrown away by the circular-saw
blade teeth.
Switch the machine off when removing any failure
and stuck pieces of wood. - Unplug the machine -
Before starting the machine, check whether wrenches
and adjusting tools have been removed.
Machine safety regulations and other, generally
recognised safety-technical regulations must be
adhered to.
It is necessary to respect the notes of professional
associations (VBG 7j).
The saw must be connected to a 400 V socket
with a 16 A fuse.
Do not use machines with poor performance for
demanding works.
Keep the handles and levers with no oil and grease.
At regular intervals, check whether the machine is not
damaged!
Before using the machine the next time, the
protective equipment or slightly damaged parts must
be checked thoroughly if working perfectly and as
specified.
Check whether the moving parts work perfectly and
are not stuck and if not damaged. All parts must be
fitted properly and meet all conditions to guarantee
perfect working of the machine.
Have any damaged switch replaced in a service
workshop.
Circular-saw blades must always be carried in a
package if possible.
The operator must be informed about the conditions
influencing the noise (e.g. circular-saw blades
designed to minimise the noise level, care of the
circular-saw blade and the machine). For safety
reasons, an
y
defects to the machine, protective
equipment and circular saw-blade must be
immediately, as soon as detected, reported to the
person responsible.
When transporting the machine, equipment
designated for transport purposes and not protective
equipment for handling and transport to be used only.
