Motor scarifier GV 2400 SL high-capacity gasoline
scarifier for removing of the tomentum layer (plant remains,
moss, weeds) from the lawn.

High-capacity 4-stroke-engine, high-quality cutter spindle
with 18 steel blades, 7-fold height adjustment (0/-2/-4/-8/-
10/-13/-15 mm), additional height adjustment for

Warranty
The warranty exclusively ranges over defects caused by
material defects or faulty manufacture. In case of assertion
of a defect for the purpose of such warranty the original
receipt including the date of purchase as to be attached.
Incorrect application, like for instance overloading of the
device, use of violence, damaging through external man-
induced events or through foreign objects, are excluded from
the warranty. Ignorance of the assembly instructions and
normal abrasion are also excluded from the warranty.
General safety tips
- Read the instructions carefully.
- Get familiar with settings and the correct use of the
device.
- Never allow children or any other persons that do
not know the instructions to use the scarifier.
- Local regulations can state the minimum age of
the user.
- Never scarify when other persons, especially
children or animals are nearby. Remember that
the machine operator or the user is responsible for
accidents with other persons or their property.
Prior safety precautions
- While scarifying always wear proper shoes and
long pants. Do not scarify barefoot or in light
sandals.
- Check the area on which the machine is supposed
to be used on and remove all the objects that
might be captured or thrown.
- Warning: Gasoline is highly inflammable: store
gasoline only in the designated containers.
- Refuel outside only and do not smoke while
refuelling.
- Fill in the gasoline before you start the engine.
With nutrients a better way.
- While the engine is running or when the scarifier is
hot the gas cap may not be opened or gasoline be
refilled.
- In case some gasoline has overflowed, do not try
to start the engine.
- Instead the machine must be removed from the
area flooded by gasoline. Any ignition test must be
avoided until the gasoline fumes have faded.
- For safety reasons the gas tank and other gas
caps must be replaced if damaged.
- Replace defective sound absorbers.
- Before use always conduct a visual check if the
cutting tools, the fastening elements and the whole
blade package are worn out or damaged. To avoid
active forces, worn out or damaged cutting tools
and fastening elements may be replaced by
batches only.
Safety tips for initial operation
- Do not let the combustion engine running in closed
rooms where dangerous carbon monoxide can
accumulate.
- Scarify only in daylight or in good artificial lighting.
If possible usage on wet grass should be avoided.
- Always take care of a good standing position on
hillsides.
- Move the machine in walking pace only.
