Appliance-specific safety instructions
Persons authorised to operate the appliances must
check the appliances before working for any visible
defects on the control and safety equipment and whether
protective equipment is in place and works faultlessly.
The supervisor must be informed if any defects are
detected!!
Applicable local regulations and electrical protection
must be adhered to when using the appliance.
Keep a safe distance from flammable items.
Unobstructed suction and air outlet must always be
provided.
The air outlet must not be narrowed or fitted with tubes
or hoses.
Never insert any items in appliances.
The appliance must not be covered when being
operated.
The safety equipment must not be bridged or blocked.
The appliance must not be operated immediately below
the wall outlet.
The appliance must not be exposed to direct water
stream, e.g. high-pressure cleaner, etc.
Water must never penetrate the appliance.
The appliance must not be installed and operated in an
environment with a risk of fire and explosion.
The appliance must not be installed and operated in an
atmosphere containing oil, sulphur and salt.
Protect all electric cables against any damage including
damage by animals.
The appliance is a locally individual electric heating
automatic appliance for industrial purposes.
The appliance can only be operated with electric energy
and has been designed for fully automatic, universal and
trouble-free use.
The appliance has been fitted with specifically enclosed
electrical heating resistors, axial flow fans with reduced
noise and minimum maintenance, safety thermostats
and additional cooling thermostats, room thermostat
outlet and electric cable with a ground contact outlet.
The appliance meets the basic safety and hygiene
requirements of applicable EU provisions.
Safe operation and simple handling of the appliance.
Keep a sufficient distance from the wall and other items.
The protective grid heats up! Do not place any items that
could burn or melt near the protective grid.
The appliance can for instance be used for:
Drying of new buildings
Spot heating of outdoor workplaces or in halls and
factory spaces with no risk of fire.
Permanent or temporary heating of rooms.
Defrosting of machines, vehicles and non-
combustible goods in stock while keeping the
applicable safety distance
The appliance can only be operated in an electrical
power system with RCD (safety switch against stray
current).
Emergency Action
Apply the first aid adequate to the injury and get qualified
medical assistance as quickly as possible. Protect the
injured person from more accidents and calm him/her down.
For the sake of eventual accident, in accordance with
DIN 13164, a workplace has to be fitted with a first-aid
kit. It is essential to replace any used material in the
first-aid kit immediately after it has been used. If you
seek help, state the following pieces of information:
1. Accident site
2. Accident type
3. Number of injured persons
4. Injury type(s)
Use as designated
Electric heaters are used in building industry, ship building,
agriculture, garages, gastronomy, for assemblies and where
oil and gas heaters are undesirable or not allowed.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damage if
provisions of the generally applicable regulations and these
Operating Instructions are not followed.
Residual risks and protective measures
Electrical residual risks:
Direct electrical contact:
Risk of electric shock. To be operated in electrical
network with a safety switch against stray current only.
Indirect electrical contact:
Risk of electrical shock. To be operated in electrical
network with a safety switch against stray current only.
Thermal residual risks:
Burns, chilblains:
A contact with the protective grid and appliance housing
may cause burns. Avoid these construction parts.
Disposal
Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms
on the device or packaging. Description of the pictograms is
given in "Identification" chapter.
Disposal of transport packaging
Packaging protects the device against damage during
transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according
to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can
therefore be recycled.
Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves
resources and costs for packaging disposal.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous
for children. Risk of suffocation!
Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children
and dispose as soon as possible.
Operating staff requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions
before using the appliance.
Qualification
No special qualification is necessary for using the appliance
apart from detailed instruction by a qualified person.
Minimum age
The appliance may only be operated by persons over 16
years of age. An exception includes youngsters operating the
appliance within their professional education to achieve
necessary skills under teacher's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by
a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No
special training necessary.
