Troubleshooting

Failure Cause Removal

Fork unable to

reach the

maximum height

• Lack of

hydraulic oil

• Add oil.

Fork unable to be

lifted.

• No hydraulic oil

• Oil containing

impurities

• Nut (B) being

set too high and

keeping the

pump valve

open.

• Air in the

hydraulic oil

• Add oil.

• Change oil.

• Set the nut (B).

Fork unable to be

lowered

• Lift piston or

pump body

deformation due

to unbalanced

load or

overloading.

• Fork being kept

in a high

position for too

long, causing

the piston rod to

get exposed and

corrode. Piston

rod may get fully

corroded.

• Set nut (B) not

in the right

position

• Change the lift

piston or pump

body.

• When the truck

is not being

used, keep the

fork in the

lowest position

and lubricate the

rod frequently.

• Set the nut (B).

Fork unable to be

fully lowered

• Nut not being

tightly fitted to

the rod

• Tighten the nut.

Maintenance and care

Oil

• Check the oil level every 6 months.

Hydraulic or engine oil can be used.

At 40°, viscosity (viscidity) should be

30 cst; total volume of app. 0.3 l.

Air releasing

• Air could have entered the hydraulic

oil during transport or when pumping

in an inclined position. This could

have caused the fork not to lift any

more when pumping in the LIFT

position. Air can be released as

follows: Keep the functional lever in

the LOWER position and move the

drawbar up and down several times.

Daily inspection

and maintenance

• Everyday inspection of the forklift

truck minimises wear. Special

attention should be paid to wheels

and axles to ensure they are not

blocked. After finishing work, the

forklift truck should be put out of

operation with no load and the fork

being in the lowest position.

Lubrication

• Use engine oil or lubricant grease to

lubricate all moving parts.
