down, tuning is effected at high speed.

TUNING t buttons to tune to
the frequency in the desired direction. The

TUNING button increases the frequency
in steps of 50 kHz in the FM range and in
steps of 1 kHz in the AM range. The

TUNING button decreases the frequency
in the same steps. The display indicates,
for example, "MAN 92.70".
ǺǺ If the station/RDS programme tuned to is
already stored on a station button in the
selected range , e.g. "FM I " , the display indi-
cates "M" and the corresponding digit, e.g.
"M3 " for memory position 3.
4. For storing the station/RDS programme
tuned to on a station button, proceed as
described in the section "Station buttons"
on page 8.
5. To terminate manual frequency tuning,
briefly press the
¢¢
RADIO button.
ǺǺ If no button is pressed within the next 60
seconds, manual frequency tuning will be
automatically terminated.

desired direction. The frequency, e.g.
"99.40", is visible in the display. If a stati-
on having a name is found, this is diplay-
ed, if not, the frequency indication remains
on.

Manual frequency tuning
1. Select the range with the

"MW", "LW".
2. Press one of the r
TUNING t buttons
until two signals sound and "MAN ..." with
the current frequency is visible in the dis-
play, e.g. "MAN 100.60".
Calling up stored stations/RDS programmes:
Select the range: FMl, FMll, MW or LW.
Briefly press the desired station button.
ǺǺ The memory contents are maintained even
when disconnecting the battery voltage.
Selecting stations/RDS programmes
with the search function
1. Select the range with the
¢¢
RADIO button:
"FM I", "FM II" or (on WKC 3201 RDS)
"MW", "LW".
For a station search in the FM I or FM II
range, the "IS" function must be switched off.
For this, press one of the r
TUNING t
buttons until "IS OFF" is briefly displayed.
ǺǺ The search function operates with two
different sensitivities in the FM ranges.
When exploring the frequency range the
first time, it searches for stations with high
field strength (local reception). When
exploring the range the second time, it
searches also for stations with low field
strength (distant reception).
ǺǺ In the AM range, the search function first
explores the LW band and then the MW
band.
