De bestandsformaten
Uw televisietoestel kan via de USB-ingang met de volgende be-
standsformaten gebruikt worden:
MP4-videogegevens
De MP4-methode werd voor het comprimeren van videobestanden
ontworpen.
MP4-video is een encoder/decoder die op de MPEG4-compressie
gebaseerd is en voor de decodering en weergave van gecompri-
meerde videogegevens gebruikt wordt.
Het televisietoestel maakt hierdoor het afspelen van met MPEG-4-
SP gecomprimeerde video’s mogelijk.
MPEG-4-SP-bestanden worden met de audiogegevens – die met
MP3, AAC of Dolby Digital

gecomprimeerd werden – in dit “.AVI”-
of “.MP4”-bestand “verpakt”.
MP3-/WMA-audiogegevens
MP3 staat voor MPEG-1 audio layer 3 en komt van de Motion Pic-
ture Expert Group (MPEG) standaard, die voor het comprimeren
van geluids- en beeldgegevens ontworpen werd.
WMA is een comprimeringsstandaard voor audiogegevens
(Windows Media Audio).
Door deze formaten is het mogelijk om audiogegevens in bijna cd-
kwaliteit op een computer op te slaan.
MP3-bestanden kunnen in mappen en submappen, zoals de be-
standen in een pc georganiseerd zijn.
JPEG-beeldgegevens
JPEG staat voor Joint Picture Experts Group. De procedure werd voor
het comprimeren van beeldbestanden ontworpen.
JPEG-bestanden kunnen samen met andere bestandstypes op een
gegevensdrager opgeslagen worden.
De bestanden kunnen in mappen samen gevat zijn. Deze structuur is
gelijkaardig met die van een mp3-cd.
