De MPaxx-speler SP 4101 is een nieuw, draagbaar afspeeltoestel
voor digitale muziek die volgens de MP3-standaard gecomprimeerd
werd. De MPaxx-speler speelt ook de dataformaten WMA alsook
AAC af.
In de volgende hoofdstukken wordt algemeen over MP3 gesproken.
De speler is volkomen ongevoelig voor schokken en is makkelijk te
bedienen.
De muziek wordt door een ingebouwd flash-geheugen of verwissel-
bare en herschrijfbare geheugenkaarten weergegeven. Deze kaarten
zijn klein, licht en toch heel robuust.
De methode om muziek met het MP3-formaat op te slaan is vooral op
het internet een standaard geworden. Op talrijke websites kunt u gra-
tis of tegen betaling MP3-muziekbestanden downloaden. De op de
harde schijf van uw PC opgeslagen MP3-bestanden worden met
behulp van de bijgeleverde adapterkabel via de USB-interface op de
MPaxx geladen.
