Dubbing

Operation
In playback mode, locate the tape position at which
the dubbing should begin and then press the W
button on the remote control or the U button on
the recorder (playback-pause).

The volume is automatically adjusted.
The volume can also be adjusted manually. To do
this, press the

MAN
button on the recorder. Then
use the
¢
-LEVEL+ buttons on the recorder to adjust
the volume until the red display (0 dB) lights up
during the loudest passages.
Begin dubbing using the T button on the remote
control or the Q button on the recorder.
– The original sound remains on the hifi track and
the new sound is recorded on the longitudinal
track.
Stop dubbing using the
¢
INS/DUB button.
– The video recorder switches to playback, and you
hear the sound from the mono (longitudinal)
track. The »
DUB
« display disappears.

When changing a dubbed cassette, you must
switch to the mono (longitudinal) track in order to
hear the dubbed sound. To do so, press the
¢
AUDIO
button on the remote control repeatedly
until »
MONO
« appears on the recorder.

If you wish to hear the original sound as well as the
dubbing, press the
¢
AUDIO
button on the remote
control repeatedly until »
MIX
« appears in the dis-
play on the recorder.

If the recorder is connected to an audio mixer, you
can mix the hifi original sound of the video cassette
with the sound from external sound sources.

The original sound of the longitudinal track is era-
sed completely, and the hifi (helical) track is preser-
ved.

Connecting
Connect the hifi system to the
ň
AUDIO sockets at
the back of the recorder using commercially availa-
ble phono cable.
R = right channel; L = left channel.

The

AUDIO sockets are also suitable for connec-
ting to an audio mixer (input).
Connect the camcorder to the L AUDIO IN R
sockets on the front of the recorder using commer-
cially available phono cable.

These sockets are also suitable for connecting to an
audio mixer (output).

Preparation

If not indicated otherwise, execute the following
procedures using the buttons on the recorder.
Insert a recorded cassette into the recorder.
Select a programme source using the dc
buttons.
HI
= sound source on the AUDIO sockets at the
back of the recorder, or
CV
= sound source on the AUDIO sockets on the
front of the recorder.
